Be my one My day in the sun My little pop gun The best thing I’ve done Be my what My open and shut My everything but My little hot slut And we tumble down like Jack and Jill And I miss all of the joy you kill But I love you still Be my thrill
Today, in a tiny back room filled with monitoring equipment, I sat between my school librarian and my English teacher and watched Obama’s back to school speech. It was wonderful. One of the biggest things I remember, is that he talked about how hard-working teachers are - how they don’t do it for a fancy office, or for a big salary. They do what they do because the greatest enjoyment in their lives is watching their students learn and grow. Mrs. Porter-Savoy turned to me and squeezed my arm and said “It’s true”. And she smiled her little smile and there were tears in both of our eyes. She is such a wonderful lady.
